A really … ‘Flying Sports Car’

Ever since the first aircraft took to the air over a hundred years ago man has dreamed about … and attempted on several occasions … to come up with a practical ‘flying car’.
Well, now it looks like some enterprising and creative Dutchmen have done just that.
They have combined a small ‘sports car’ like vehicle design with that of a ‘gyro-copter’ … and apparently produced a driving/flying prototype.
And it looks like a cool little devil.
The idea of the gyro-copter has been around for a long time. in fact a large radial engined one landed on the White House lawn way back in the 30’s.
The gyro-copter rotating wing is not mechanically powered like those of a helicopter … but instead the forward movement through the air actually produces the rotation … and the rotation lifts the .
